1. Who we are

matchvmss.com is a business that helps merchants prepare and submit removal requests from MATCH and VMSS listings. We are not affiliated with Mastercard or Visa.

2. Information we collect

When you use our service, we collect the information you provide in the questionnaire (e.g. business name, contact details, listing details, and narrative). This information is used to draft and submit your removal request to the relevant payment service provider (PSP) or acquirer. We may also collect technical data such as IP address and browser type for security and operation of the site.

3. How we use your information

Your information is used to generate your removal request, to show you a review summary before payment, to process payment, to send the request email to your PSP or acquirer, and to operate and improve the service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your request content and contact details are included in the email sent to the PSP or acquirer you specify, as necessary to perform the service.

4. Service providers and APIs

We use trusted third-party services to run the site. Depending on your journey, data you provide may be processed by:

• Payment processing (e.g. Stripe)—to take payment at checkout. They receive billing-related data as required to process the transaction.
• Transactional email (e.g. Resend)—to send the removal request email from our systems to the PSP or acquirer address you provide, with you copied where applicable. They process the email content and routing metadata needed to deliver that message.
• Optional AI text processing (e.g. OpenAI)—when enabled, we may send the draft removal text (built from your questionnaire answers) to their API so the wording can be polished into a single coherent email. We instruct the model not to invent facts; you should still verify accuracy before relying on the outcome. If this step is not used, only the template-based draft is sent.
• Database / hosting (e.g. Supabase or similar)—to store a copy of submission payloads on our servers for operations, support, and legal compliance. What is stored aligns with the fields you submitted through the questionnaire and related metadata.

These providers act on our instructions to deliver the service and are bound by their own privacy terms. We recommend reviewing their policies if you need detail on how they handle data.

5. Storage and security

Questionnaire data is stored locally in your browser (e.g. localStorage) while you complete the steps. When you continue to preview, payment, or email sending, your data is processed by our application servers and the providers above. We take reasonable steps to protect your data; however, no transmission over the internet is completely secure.

6. Your rights

7. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will be revised when we do.
