Terms of service
Last updated: March 2026
1. Definitions
In these terms, "we", "us", and "matchvmss.com" refer to the operator of this website and the removal request service. "You" and "client" refer to the merchant or person using our service. "Service" means the preparation and submission of MATCH and VMSS removal requests. "MATCH" means Mastercard Alert to Control High-risk Merchants. "VMSS" means Visa Merchant Screening Service. "PSP" means payment service provider; "acquirer" means the acquiring bank or entity that added you to MATCH or VMSS.
2. Description of service
We provide a tool to help you prepare and send a removal request from MATCH and VMSS listings. You complete our online questionnaire. We generate a structured removal request from your answers using an automated template, and we may optionally run that text through an AI-assisted rewrite step so the final email is clear and consistent—without adding facts you did not provide. Before you pay, you can review a summary of the information you entered on the site.
After successful payment, we send the request as an email to the PSP or acquirer address you supply (where required). You are copied on that email where applicable, and replies from the PSP are directed to your contact address; we are not a party to that email thread. The PSP or acquirer alone decides whether removal is granted. We do not guarantee any outcome.
Payment is processed by our payment provider as shown at checkout. Your questionnaire data may be stored using our hosting and database tools so we can operate the service and retain a record of submissions, as described in our Privacy policy. We may charge a fee as indicated on the website or at checkout.
3. Important disclaimers
Not affiliated with Mastercard or Visa
matchvmss.com is not affiliated with Mastercard or Visa. We are an independent business. MATCH is a program of Mastercard and VMSS is a program of Visa. We do not operate, control, or endorse these programs. We assist you in preparing and submitting a removal request to your PSP or acquirer only.
Outcome not guaranteed
Please note that the outcome of a removal request is determined by the relevant scheme or authority, and therefore we cannot guarantee that removal will be granted. Whether your business is removed from a MATCH or VMSS listing is decided solely by the PSP or acquirer that added you. We provide a drafting and submission service only. You use our service at your own risk and remain responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for any outcomes.
4. Your obligations
You must provide accurate, complete, and current information. You represent that you are authorised to act on behalf of the business named in the request. You must not use the service for any unlawful purpose or in a way that infringes the rights of others. You are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide does not contain confidential information of third parties without their consent. You must not misrepresent facts to us or to the PSP or acquirer.
5. Fees and payment
Where a fee is charged, you agree to pay the amount shown at checkout. Payment is due before we submit the request unless otherwise agreed. Fees are non-refundable once we have submitted the request on your behalf, except where required by law or as we may agree in writing. We may change our fees at any time; the fee applicable to you is the one displayed when you complete checkout.
6. Data, storage, and third-party services
We collect and store the information you provide in order to perform the service and as described in our Privacy policy, including use of payment, email, optional AI processing, and database providers. By using the service, you consent to such processing. We may retain submission data for as long as necessary to fulfil the service, resolve disputes, and comply with legal obligations.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude all liability for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss or damage (including loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunity) arising from your use of the service or from any decision or action taken by a PSP, acquirer, Mastercard, Visa, or any third party. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or, if no fee was paid, zero. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
8. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from and against any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these terms, your use of the service, the accuracy or completeness of the information you provide, or any act or omission by you in connection with the removal request.
9. Termination and cancellation
We may suspend or discontinue the service, or your access to it, at any time without notice. You may stop using the service at any time. If we have already submitted a request on your behalf, we are not obliged to recall or modify it. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnity) will survive termination.
10. General
These terms constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a right does not waive that right. We may assign our rights and obligations under these terms; you may not assign without our consent. Nothing in these terms creates a partnership, agency, or employment relationship.
Governing law and jurisdiction: these terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands, unless mandatory law in your country requires otherwise.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will be revised. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If you do not agree, you must stop using the service.
